Board Members
Mirolyn Eunice Naidoo is the Senior Executive Manager of the RivLife Community Centre. Having matriculated at the Esther Payne Smith Secondary School in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa; Mrs. Naidoo   together with her husband, subsequently graduated with a diploma in Divinity from the Bethesda Bible College. Mrs. Naidoo’s career path saw her gaining several years of experience in the banking field and in community development. Her passion for people especially those from disadvantaged communities resulted in her pursuing her studies graduating with a Masters Degree in Theology and Development from the University of KwaZulu - Natal. Further studies resulted in the completion of the Advanced Health Management Program offered through the Foundation for Professional Development and Yale University.
Mirolyn Eunice Naidoo
Yugandran Naidoo
Mr. Yugandran (Chris) Naidoo, chairman of the RivLife Board, has been in the health care field,   specifically emergency health care for the past nineteen years. A paramedic by profession, he holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Medical Care and Rescue from the Durban University of Technology and an MBA in Health Care Management from the Regent Business School.  Having the honour of returning to his alma mater, Mr. Naidoo currently lectures in Emergency Health Care at Durban University of Technology. He has spent much of his career in the public sector where he rose to the rank of Deputy Director before leaving the Provincial Health  Department. With his extensive experience in the public sector, Mr. Naidoo has been exposed to poverty related disease profiles and epidemiology, he is passionate about empowering communities in order to change these disease patterns.

Nomathamsanqa  Mosehana
‘My passion for community development began when I had a burden to know why poor people are poor and why young girls grow up to be prostitutes’. This is how Nomathamsanqa Mosehana (Thami) describes her    introduction into the field of community development. Having matriculated from Ikhwezi Lomso Comprehensive School in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa; . Mosehana presently serves as the Senior Manager: Financial Management and Budgeting in the Provincial Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Eastern Cape. . Mosehana holds a National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting and is currently studying towards a BComm in Risk Management. She has also studied towards becoming a Certified Internal Auditor through the Institute of  Internal Auditors South Africa.
Poobalan Pillay
Mr. Poobalan (Krish) Pillay is the Executive Manager: Finance and Human Resources of River of Life Christian Ministries where he is responsible for the oversight of all financial transactions, systems and administration. He brings to the RivLife Board his astute sense of financial management and accountability in his role as treasurer. Mr. Pillay has extensive experience in the retail sector. ‘Thirty years in the retail sector has equipped me in the field of marketing, human resource management and supply chain management and has developed in me a keen sense of excellence’. Mr. Pillay further serves as a consultant to bookkeepers, Small Medium Micro Entrepneurs, church’s and holds a Diploma in Theology.
Tendai Mudukuti
Trained and educated as a Social Worker with a Bachelors  Degree in Social Work from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa; Tendai Mudukuti is deeply committed to serving humanity. This is evidenced in her current position as Social Worker at the RivLife Community Centre, which services a community severely affected, by poverty and HIV and Aids. During her tenure as a Student Social Worker, she worked for World Vision, Zimbabwe and the United Nations Refugees Program.  Among several research projects was a study on the factors leading to the rise of Xenophobia at the University of Fort Hare Campus and the role played by the University of Fort Hare Nguni Cattle Project towards community development in Alice, South Africa.
Rookmoney Moodley
Rookmoney (Rooks) Moodley has 16 years of working experience in the NGO environment. She spent several years of that time at Practical Ministries, an NGO in the  violence ravaged area of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Mrs Moodley was subsequently appointed as Executive Director; a position which she held for two years. She moved on to join the RivLife Community Centre in 2005 until her appointment in July 2009 as Area Manager for the Olive Leaf Foundation, an international development organization in Durban. Mrs Moodley has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human and Social Studies. She serves on the Board of Scripture Union, RivLife Community Centre and is also a member of the communications team of Project Gateway.
Elizabeth Govender
Elizabeth (Liz) Govender began a career with the NGO Youth for Christ 24 years ago as a receptionist and has since worked her way up to the position of Administrator of both the Kwazulu-Natal offices of the organization. She therefore brings to Rivlife a vast amount of invaluable experience and expertise. This experience, coupled with her strong maternal nature makes her contribution to the organization an integral one.“My involvement with my church and my Youth for Christ experience has contributed immensely to my personal and spiritual growth.  I am committed to serve in a meaningful way as an individual or as part of a team.  I enjoy working with people of different backgrounds and cultures, hence I am committed to my work and family.  I love  people and always take the time to get to know them”. Mrs. Govender is married to Brian and they are the proud parents of a son Russell who is a medical doctor. Liz also has a strong passion for anything creative and is currently studying interior design. 

Richard Rajah
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr Richard Rajah has been a devout Christian, serving either as teacher, departmental leader or administrator in the Churches where he fellowshipped with his family. Mr. Rajah holds a B.Tech Business Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. He has many years of experience in industry having qualified as an artisan. He has specialized in production and project management in the FMCG sector with emphasis on food and beverage processing. He lectures in Production and Project Management at tertiary level and is also involved in training and development and mentorship to SMME’s. Through his expertise, he has enhanced the management skills of community members and volunteers at the RivLife Community Centre.
